Yesterday marked 5 months since our baby boy, Noah, was born. It is so hard to believe how quickly time is going by! We have seen so many amazing changes in Noah over the past few months and are excited to see which milestones he meets in the coming weeks.
Just last week Noah discovered his feet - I think he likes to play with them more than anything else! Whether he's sitting up (with our support), lying down or on the changing talble his legs are in the air and he's playing with his toes. It's too cute!
We started to feed him solids in the beginning of February and his first time went very well! We made some brown rice cereal, which didn't taste particularly appetizing, but he ate several spoonfuls. I think he actually wore more than he ate, but it was a good start! Since then, we've added avocados to his menu and he loves them! We'll be moving onto carrots and green beans next; I just hope he's not as picky of an eater as me and Jon!
Around the start of the month, Jonathan and I also began to "sleep train" Noah in order to get him to sleep through the night. The first night was tough....with me sitting by his crib for 2.5 hr soothing him....but he didn't wake to eat until 6:00 AM! Since then each night has gotten easier and we're in a solid routine. Getting more than 2-3 hours of sleep in a row has been amazing to say the least! I think everyone won out in the end!
On January 31, we had Noah dedicated at our church - Grace Community Church. Meme, Papa Jim Jim, and Aunt Chelle all came to attend the ceremony! Grandma just had her knee surgery but she, Grandpa, and Uncle Paulie were able to watch it live via the Internet. :) The ceremony was wonderful, and it was a very special time for our little family.
