A long time coming...

Future Monarch??
Posting pictures, videos, and text on this blog is something I've wanted to do for quite some time.  Now that school is out, I should be able to do this more often.

Where to start?!  In just one week, our precious Noah James will be 9 months old!  Where has time gone?  Over the past two months, he has reached several milestones and shown his personality more and more.  It is amazing to watch him discover something new every day, and we can't wait to see what comes next!

As of mid-May, Noah has been army crawling all over the place!  He uses his right leg to push off the floor and pulls himself along using both arms.  So resourceful!  Mommy did a mud run this weekend and had to do the same thing through mud and under barbed wire - it's not easy! We're pretty sure he's going to have huge biceps by the time his first birthday rolls around.

The video above is from the very first time I saw Noah army crawl!

Chilling with Grandpa!

On May 31, I noticed that Noah's first tooth had broken though his gums.  He had been a bit cranky up to that point, so we knew something was going on.  Then, just 2 weeks later we noticed his second bottom tooth coming through.  Chewing on his frozen toys...and anything else in sight....seems to temporarily relieve his discomfort.

Lately, getting Noah to lay down for a nap has been quite the chore.  He is so intrigued by everything around him that he just wants to go, go, go!  Jonathan had to put the crib mattress all the way down because little Mister has learned how to stand up!  He tries to pull himself up using just about anything in sight.  Our lives revolve even more around Noah now that we have to watch every move he makes.  He moves fast, seems to find the most obscure objects that Jon and I somehow miss, and of course tries to eat them.  I think chasing him around all day burns all the calories I need!

Bathtime fun!
Being able to spend the entire day with Noah is such a blessing.  I work my tail off all school year and feel as though I earn this time.  :)  I just wish Jon could be here too!  I have great plans for Noah and I and can't wait to have playdates with all of his little buddies.  We also plan to make trips to PA to visit our parents and hope to have some visitors in VA as well.  I'm free until August 15!  :)
